Former Idols SA 2019 runner-up Sneziey has poured cold water over claims that she's a sangoma. The rumours started circulating on social media after the gospel singer posted snaps of herself wearing isiphandla (traditional wristband).

The star recently shared snaps of herself gracefully donning the isiphandla and many people concluded that she is now a sangoma. Her fans thought she had answered her ancestral calling just like many other Mzansi celebs.

The star took to Instagram to let her fans know why she was wearing the traditional wristband. The musician explained to her fans that she's still a Christian, according to ZAlebs.

She gracefully donned her full sangoma regalia and thanked those who have been with her through her traditional healing journey.

Skeem Saam's Mlungisi Mathe answers the call and becomes a sangoma

In related news, Briefly News reported that Skeem Saam actor Mlungisi Mathe has joined a list of Mzansi stars who have accepted their calling to become a sangoma. The star, who portrays the character of Emkay in the telenovela, revealed that he is already a practising sangoma.

He shared that he took his time to accept the calling because he had no idea what was happening to him. In a recent interview with Daily Sun, Mlungisi opened up about his gift of healing people. Mlungisi, who also plays the role of Themba in eHostela, told the publication:

"The gift of healing people is hard because you lose yourself. Amadlozi are using and getting their chance of life through you. I found out I had Amadlozi before I was even 15."
